This is a sad story out of California.  Another family drank the Bernie Madoff juice :(

Ian and Terry Thiermann worked hard all their lives retire with security... but fell for the now infamous Madoff Ponzi scheme. They invested their $700k retirement money and lost it all.

Ian is about to turn 91 in May and is the oldest & newest employee at a grocery store. This breaks my heart, old people should be worrying about spending their days with loved ones, not schlepping to work because of a bad choice.  

I hope the sleeze that is Bernie Madoff can't sleep at night...

Awful, appalling & unpleasant… A horrifying attack occurred Sunday in Stamford, CT involving a chimpanzee named Travis and his owner’s long time friend, Charla Nash. The 911 recording has just been released.

Travis clawed and magled Ms. Nash as soon as she exited her vehicle to pay a visit to her friend, Sandra Herold. As you can hear, the attack continued for some time and Mrs. Herold struggled to try and stop, or even hinder her pet. She stabbed Travis repeatedly with a butcher knife, but ultimately retreated to her vehicle where she placed the 911 phone call.

Law enforcement officers entered the scene and Travis was still ramped, attacking and even pursuing an officer in one of their patrol cars. This is where the chimpanzee was shot several times and those wounds took his life.

At this time the motivation for the assault is unknown. An autopsy and additional testing are being conducted to hopefully obtain some rationalization for this gruesome incident.

Charla Nash is still in critical condition.  Let’s pray she can make it through this.
