Good Skin –

It’s not our eyes, lips, or even hair that gets people to stare… its out skin. Bright, smooth, healthy looking skin can cause quite a stir. Sorry Angelina, your lips are attention grabbers, but your glowing mug also fascinates many people. If you’ve got it, you can’t help but to flaunt it.

Have you ever seen or known someone with skin so captivating that you cannot help but ogle?? You question where there pores are and hate how gorgeous they look without an ounce of makeup! You may not even realize that the fixation is centered round ones’ flawless skin, but remember that everyone’s features are enhanced with radiant and stunning skin.

General rules of thumb: Drink tons of H20, wash your face before bed and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

I recommend facials… don’t squander your life savings, but if you can have a few a year it will clear up any gook that’s hidden under a layer or two.

NYC bound?!? Mario Badescu is excellent. They also have an expansive facial beauty line, and their best feature?? Facials are $65.00!! (Not too shabby)

Great Eyebrows –

It’s a mistake to underestimate … they make your face! Don’t fall prey to over-plucking or under-grooming. Every woman has an arch that fits their face, they just have to find, and stick to it.

All the rage: Threading: It is ancient Indian method, but has been garnering a lot of attention over the years. Supposedly it is better than waxing because it doesn’t pull at your skin… aka our upper eyelids may not sag as much when we’re 50. It hurts like a mother, unless you have a high tolerance for pain, but is well worth it. I have been an advocate for almost 10 years!

Perfect Jeans -

They are a necessity of life!!! I cannot stress how important one pair of good jeans can help any female. We can dress them up, down, anyway really. They show our assets and hide our flaws… the chameleon piece of our wardrobe! Whether you are short and want long legs, want to conceal a tummy or (my issue) want to exemplify a bum, a pair of jeans that fit just right can be the start a sensational outfit… Finding them is the hard part!

I always have luck at Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, or Havana Jeans. My brand favorites are: Citizens of Humanity (helpful for gals with tiny tushes), Brand, Seven for Mankind, Rock & Republic, True Religion and AG Jeans.

Don’t spend money if they don’t do what you need them to do and be careful of the length, nothing is worse than high-water jeans that curl up at the ends.

Helpful Hint: Take at least 20 pair into the dressing room (not kidding), grab the styles you like in 3 sizes. Your size, one above, and one below… every designer, style and cut will be different. You may have to do a couple of rounds, but as I mentioned… when you find “the pair” all your effort will be worth it

Radiant White Teeth –

Brush, floss, gargle and whiten… do your part to keep your smile one that others want to see. I love my cup of Joe in the am, enjoy a glass of Malbec in the evening, but I must admit it is slowing causing my teeth to dim in color L Luckily for our generation, we have many options

Tips:

• Brush after eating
• Drink coffee/hot chocolate through a straw or gulp quickly
• “An apple a day does keep the dentist away!”

Captivating Confidence –

This is by no means easy to maintain because so many things get in the way… our love life, work, friends, family, or one of our many “fat days” can get us in a sour mood. However, we must find our inner chi, positive spirit or wish it like the Secret said. Whatever mumbo jumbo you believe in works, but if you’ve got nothing, “fake it, ‘til you make it!”

Soooo… if you are walking by a group of guys, or someone you are trying to impress, place your shoulders back, keep your head high and smile. I know it’s cheesy, but it will manufacture confidence and strength… even if it’s only for a few moments.

Bargain shoppers can stretch their dollar even further these days at high end department stores. Think you can’t afford places like Saks, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's? Don’t knock ‘em till you try ‘em. Those designer jeans you’ve dreamt of – like citizen’s of humanity, Joe’s, Juicy, Seven for all Man Kind, etc. - can be be yours for the same price as you might find at the Gap! At sales of over 75% off the retail price the deals can’t be beat.

Now’s not the time to be sitting on your butt waiting for the sales to come to you… while internet bargains are great, in store finds can really make the gloves come off! … Or put them on ;) My roommate found a pair of cashmere gloves originally for $64, what did she pay? $13.65! Where you may ask? At the look but don’t touch Saks Fifth Avenue on none other than Greenwich Ave.  And my new Jimmy Choo black pumps retailing at $700… mine for $96!
